Well, based on the dye traces they may have to go another 15K from that side
and 10-20 from the other side, but right now the only limitation is the
scrubber on the rebreather which will last 11 hours but you can only
realistically attempt to use about nine of that, and then you would never
plan a dive that pressed the edge of something like that anyway.

If you go to double rebreathers, you lose the speed again and a whole new
set of issues crops up as Reinhard can tell you. For deco, it is no big deal
since you can switch to a new rebreather once you get to deco and the deco
is no longer for an 11 hour dive ( what I think it will take to get there)
than for a 6 or 7 hour dive. These guys are pretty tuned and tough so in
water time, cold , fatigue, etc are not going to be a problem for them.

I am having dinner with JJ tomorrow night and will see what he thinks at
that time, but in a perfect world, they will get another 10-15K with
existing techniques and either find another entrance or will get downstream
Turner far enough to connect, but then a whole new game opens up since Leon
Sinks is clearly going all the way to the edge of the Gulf, which is several
more miles. However, there are more sinkholes as you near the resurgence.

Realistically where you put the limit on distance and time here George ?

You must be the ideal guy to ask after all you have been there!
