Jonas, at what point does redundancy become absurdity? The argument that the
independent doubles, multiple lights, multiple computers, multiple pressure
gauges and other phobic obsessions crowd always uses to justify their
phobias is invariably to "solve" problems associated with not doing it right
in the first place, or with obsessing over an insignificant thing to the
point of fear. Fear of deco is ridiculous. Either you do not get bent, or
you should not dive - there is no middle ground that will be satisfied by
"precise" deco. ANY reasonable facsimile of correct deco by a normal person
will suffice, and NO deco by somebody who should not diving will work.
Obvious blow off of deco has consequences, but anything approaching correct
deco should work.

Doing a dive where the deco is super important that allows for lack of
support or lack of buddy is doing it wrong in the first place. No amount of
gear that one carries along will overcome not being able to execute the dive
correctly in the first place.

  Hi Pepito,

On 11/28/05, pepito Sbazzeguti <sbazzegutip@yahoo.it> wrote:

I'm not sure I understand, are you saying that it's not an issue because
you'll never get seperated or because you're able to handle your deco
without a depth and time keeping device? If so, how did you plan on handling
it?

  Cheers
  Jonas
